Know what is holding the site back.
An audit reads the site the way Google and an AI assistant do, grades each area, and lists what to fix first.

A grade for each area, not one number.
A single score hides where the problem is. Each area is graded A to F, and the site’s health is the average of the areas that were checked.
| Area | Grade | What was checked |
|---|---|---|
| AI access | A | The five AI crawlers and llms.txt |
| Reading | A | How much page text survives extraction |
| Crawling | C | Robots rules, sitemap, broken links |
| Structured data | D | JSON-LD present and valid for the business |
| Page basics | F | Titles, descriptions, headings |
| Speed | Not checked | Needs a speed-test key |
| Site health | D | Average of the areas checked: 69 |
Every finding has an owner.
The action plan lists each fix with the person who should make it, so the work can be handed out. Critical findings come first, and each one carries the address and the snippet it was found in.
| Fix | Severity | Owner |
|---|---|---|
| Add LocalBusiness structured data | Critical | Developer |
| Unblock OAI-SearchBot in robots.txt | Critical | Developer |
| Write a description for 9 pages | Warning | Content writer |
| Answer “how much does it cost” on a page | Warning | Owner |
Structured data, checked against schema.org.
Paste a page address or your own code. The checker reads the JSON-LD against schema.org’s rules and gives the line of every error and warning.
| Line | Result | Message |
|---|---|---|
| 9 | Warning | “image” is recommended on a LocalBusiness |
| 14 | Error | “telephone” must be text |
| 22 | Warning | “openingHours” is missing |
What an audit looks for.
- AI crawler access
- Whether GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended may read the site, and whether /llms.txt exists.
- Readable text
- How much of each page’s text is still there once a machine extracts it.
- Structured data
- Whether JSON-LD is present and valid for this kind of business.
- Buyer questions
- Whether any page answers each question a buyer asks, directly.
- Evidence
- The address and snippet behind every finding, so nothing has to be taken on trust.
Questions
What does an audit cover?
How the site can be crawled and read, its structured data, page basics such as titles and descriptions, and whether AI crawlers may read it. Every finding carries the address and snippet it came from.
Does it change my website?
No. An audit only reads. Fixes are drafted for a person to approve, and the owner applies them.
Does it respect robots.txt?
Yes. Audits read only the owner’s own website and follow its robots.txt.
